God Wink

A Nashville man died today of Melanoma. His name was Todd Cerney. I never met him. But he changed my life.

Todd was a songwriter. Among others, he wrote a song called "I'll Still Be Loving You" which was recorded and released by Restless Heart in 1987. I was living in Washington D.C. at the time, and I knew nothing about country music. In fact, I had never listened to a country radio station.

Nothing says I Love You like...

My wonderful husband Alan took me out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner on Saturday. Unfortunately, the place we originally planned to go had an hour wait and neither of us cared enough to hang out so we went searching for somewhere else to dine...at 7:00 p.m.... on Valentine's weekend. Um.... Well, the pickins' were slim. But we ended up finding a filet mignon dinner at a "casual" spot. Here is a picture of their VALENTINES DAY SPECIAL....

How Does Nashville Rank? Do you agree?

Ho Ho Ho?

Are you KIDDING me? It is literally still summer, and there are already CHRISTMAS decorations up! Why bother taking them down at all? You know who I mean. The supermarkets, the malls? But there are even neighbors already getting the lights out.

Please. I implore you. Wait until at least Veteran's day.... Huh?

Addition to the Family!

This is Ingrid. She is 5 1/2 and lives in Guatemala. My family adopted her through World Vision and we are already planning a care package to send her. She really wants a doll. If you have it in your heart to adopt a child through World Vision, please click here and pick out a child that is perfect for you. Just $35 per month is all it takes.

Love me some Todd Packer!

David Koechner came by the studio today! He is at Zanies this weekend! He is hysterical. LOVE him on "The Office." You might also recognize him from  "Get Smart,"  "Talledega Nights,"  "Anchorman."  So funny.
