ARIZONA BILL VETOED
An Arizona bill that would allow the state's businesses to refuse service to gay patrons and others based on religious belief is dead.  The Governor says she vetoed the bill because she thinks it'll cause more problems than it will solve....She says the wording is too broad.

MILITARY CUTS
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is calling for a reduction in troop levels to the smallest Army since before World War Two. Hagel said the Defense Department's proposed 2015 budget will include about a 20-percent reduction in Army troops in coming years.
          Former Vice President Dick Cheney, however, doesn't like the idea.

WEATHER FOLO
Be careful on your ride in today. There may be debris in the road, in your driveway, in your yard. People across Middle Tennessee will be dealing with damage from last night's storms that swept through the area, dumping an inch of rain or more in some places.           
     We had winds gusting to nearly 90 miles an hour and some funnel clouds reported, though so far the weather service hasn't confirmed that any of the funnel clouds touched down, so no tornadoes.

CREWS GET READY TO REMOVE CARS FROM SINKHOLE AT CORVETTE MUSEUM Crews are getting things into place so they can start pulling out those cars that fell into a sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. extra support is being added to the structure and side panels are being taken out of the wall to make for a crane to pull the cars from the hole.
Geologists from Western Kentucky University have been on the scene since the collapse... and say "It now looks pretty stable."

TODAY IS PRESIDENTS' DAY
Today is Presidents' Day! It's one of those holidays where only some offices are closed, including Federal offices, banks and post offices.
Some state and city offices are open, however, so if you have official bidness to take care of today, you may want to call ahead and make sure the office is open. Presidents Day not only honors the birthday and life of President George Washington, but also commemorates all past American presidents.

WINTER STORM HITS NORTHEAST
That deadly winter storm has moved on to the North East coast, where they're expecting up to 20 inches of snow in Maine, freezing rain in Philadelphia, and MORE snow in New York. Some parents there are upset that officials decided to keep the schools open in spite of the weather. 

POTHOLE REPAIRS ON I-65 TODAY COULD CAUSE BACK UPS
The winter storm has moved on, but it's left behind a bunch of horribly deep potholes, and some possible traffic delays the next few weeks as TDOT crews do repair work.
