ROADS MOSTLY CLEAR
We were very fortunate today, and metro did a great job salting the roads ahead of time. The interstates were mostly clear when most of us woke up, though there MAY be some slick spots on SECONDARY roads.
The trouble seems to be getting to the interstates. Someone posted on Facebook that he stepped out onto his back deck to let the dogs out and his SHOES froze to the ice and snow on his deck. lol.

THREE CENT POSTAL RATE INCREASE
Mailing a letter is about to get a little more expensive.  Look for a temporary 3cent increase for a first class stamp, making it 49cents a letter. Forever stamps can be purchased at the lower rate until the change and they are accepted forever – no matter how many rate hikes take place.  Bulk mail, periodicals, and package rates rise 6%.  The hike is supposed to last only two years, effective Jan 26 to help the Post Office recover from the severe mail decrease brought on by 2008 economic downturn.
