AFTER FIREWORKS, CALLERS FLOOD ANIMAL SHELTERS IN SEARCH OF MISSING PETS
If you know someone who lost a pet in the past few days, Judy Ladebauche, the Metro Animal Control director, says your dog or cat may have run away because of the fireworks. The 5TH of July is one of Animal Control's busiest days for people turning in lost pets. And before you post on Craigslist, remember there are scam artists out there, reading descriptions of dogs, then targeting the owners, asking for gas or reward money up front.

TENS OF THOUSANDS ATTEND THE ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL

Beloved actor Andy Griffith died this morning. Former UNC President Bill Friday says The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock actor died at his home in Dare County, North Carolina around 7 a.m.

AMAZON HIRING 1,500 PEOPLE

NEW RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE SET THURSDAY, ANOTHER RECORD EXPECTED FRIDAY 
Temperatures in Nashville set a new record yesterday. The official high of 105-degrees broke the previous record of 104 set in 1952, and we're expecting another record-breaker today.
