Pet First Aid and Safety

Just like people, dogs and cats can get a little banged up from time to time as well, especially in the summer.  Ali Hemyari, Director of K-9 Special Ops, Tactical Rescue and Nick Wolkonsky, K-9 Handler, both with Nashville K-9, talk about the Pet First Aid course they offer through the Red Cross, which explains everything from how to plan for pet care in the event of a disaster, reading your dog's vital signs and performing CPR on an animal, identifying irregular behavior in your dog that could be signs of a health risk, and of course, preventing or treating heat exhaustion in these hot summer months.  For more information, visit NashvilleK9.com.
