Officials have made arrests in Pakistan in connection with that school massacre Tuesday. Three men and a woman were taken into custody after police tracked the SIM card used used by the terrorists at the time of the murders. The attack on the school in Peshawar [[ peh-SHAH-wur ]] killed 145 people, including more than 130 children.
ELECTRIC CARS ONLY AS GREEN AS THEIR POWER SOURCE
A new study shows that electric cars are only as green as the source of their electricity. If they get power from renewable energy sources like wind or solar, they could reduce air pollution deaths by 80 percent. But, the researchers from the University of Minnesota say an electric car that gets its electricity from coal -which is how we get our electricity in Tennessee - could actually be four times worse for the environment than a gas-powered vehicle. Air pollution kills an estimated 100-thousand people every year by increasing rates of heart attack, stroke and respiratory ailments.
WOMAN HITS GRANDMOTHER AFTER FB REJECTION
This is INSANE! In Florida, a 27 year old woman repeatedly hit her 72-year-old grandmother, because grandma wouldn't friend her on Facebook. It's FACEBOOK, lady! The granddaughter, Rachel Hayes, faces felony charges for battery on an elderly person and is held without bond. Oh, and in case you're wondering, yes, alcohol was involved.

WOODLAND HILLS TO BE MORE THERAPEUTIC, LESS CORRECTIONAL
The Woodland Hills Youth Development Center is moving toward a model that's more therapeutic and less correctional.... and it'll start after the first of the year. The change comes after more than 32 teenagers escaped in September and 20 others tried to get away but got caught. Deputy Commissioner Monica Jones says they've been talking to the kids who've been there, to find out what improvements can be made.
POLICE DEPARTMENT TRYING TO REDUCE PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENTS
We have way too many pedestrians hit by cars here in Metro Nashville, and the Police Department is trying to stop that. They're pushing a big campaignn reduce the number of people being hit by vehicles. They're launching a campaign called Be Aware, Be Seen and Arrive Alive. Officials say most accidents involving pedestrians happen at dusk or dawn. They recommend wearing reflective material when walking, and always using sidewalks and crosswalks when they're available.

NASHVILLE GETS AWARD FOR FLOOD RESTORATION PLAN
Remember that Nashville Flood in 2010? Yeah. It was rough. But, Nashville apparently did so well recovering that we've won a national award for our strategies to make the waterways healthy again. We planted more than 7000 trees and created 60 rain gardens throughout the city. The national award comes with 35 thousand DOLLARS, that Metro Nashville Mayor Karl Dean says will be spent on activities already underway to prevent erosion and flooding from causing further damage.
RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE
The American Red Cross says it desperately needs blood donations. People get busy at the holidays, or leave town, and blood donations are down, but the need is not. They're asking you to stop by center at 22nd and Charlotte, or just go to redcross.org to find out when and where the bloodmobile will be.
TITANS LOSE TO JACKSONVILLE
Tennessee played Jacksonville last night, and lost. 21-13. Their ninth consecutive loss. They'll host Indianapolis on December 28th.
AMERICAN IDOL CHANGES NEXT SEASON
American Idol has changes in store for next year: no results show once they get to the top 10 contestants. They'll do the performances and the results in the same program. And Coca-Cola says it will not be on-board for next season, after 13 years of sponsoring the show.

MEN FAKE HEART ATTACK TO STEAL FROM WALMART
And two guys in Florida have been arrested for theft after one of them loaded up a cart with hundreds of dollars worth of toys, and headed toward the door with the items, as the other one faked a heart attack and rolled around the floor to create a diversion. GREAT plan, if not for the little invention of store surveillance cameras, which caught everything, and helped police identify the guys when they caught them. ( Both men were repeat offender thieves. )
