OBAMA SAYS MOST REFUGEE/IMMIGRANT CHILDREN WON'T GET TO STAY
President Obama says most of the unaccompanied migrant children crossing the southwest border will not be able to stay in the U.S. Obama made the comments after talking with the Texas Governor and other local leaders there about the surge of unaccompanied minors across the border.

MAN ADMITS TO STEALING MEAT FROM WALMART
How bad do you have to be to get banned from Walmart...  worldwide!? You gotta be this guy. A LOCAL man, by the way, making us look bad.
John Woodworth, who admitted he walked into the Walmart on Charlotte Pike in west Nashville, requested several CASES of ribs, more than 16 hundred dollars worth of meat, then just walked out, loaded them into his car and left. He was arrested this week. Woodworth had already been banned from Walmarts anywhere in the world, since LAST YEAR after a shoplifting allegation in Dickson, Tennessee.

MAJOR EXPANSION COMING TO NASHVILLE ZOO
The Nashville Zoo continues to grow! They're planning a HUGE multi-million dollar expansion that'll include new exibits featuring Andean bears and spider .. spiders! ..oh... spider monkeys, a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, more walkways and a lot more parking. More than 700 THOUSAND people visit the Nashville Zoo every year and it's considered one of the top things to do in Nashville. (Bears, lions, cheetahs, penguins)

GARTH BROOKS
Garth Brooks says, nothing yet. He had teased, saying he would announce something on Monday, but all he announced was that the official announcement would be today at 11 here in Nashville. It's expected that Garth will announce he's doing a world tour. Brooks recently ended his multi-year Las Vegas engagement, it's been more than a decade since he's been on the road.

PERSON OF INTEREST IN CUSTODY FOR ARMORY SHOOTING
A person of interest is in custody following a shooting at the National Guard Armory in Perry County that left one person dead.  Officials say the victim was shot in the chest Wednesday afternoon and airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.  Officers combed the area for several hours before the suspected gunman was caught at a nearby house.

POT SHORTAGE?
So many people wanna get high in the states that have legalized pot, that some of them are having a hard time keeping up with demand. In Colorado, for example, officials estimate one in ten people use marijuana at least once a month, and that they'll burn more than 130 TONS of pot just this year. 

CHRIS COLFER ADDRESSES TWITTER HACKING
Glee star Chris Colfer says he tries to stay out of the news, and just do his job. So, it REALLY bothered him when someone hacked into his Twitter account, pretended to be him, and said he'd been fired from the show. Colfer has NOT been let go. He says he doesn't appreciate being FORCED into the headlines as, "that kid from Glee who got hacked."
Colfer's co-star Lea Michele's twitter account was hacked just a few days later. 

DOG'S BALL ADDICTION BRINGS MONEY FOR CHARITY 
Do you have a dog - or a cat - who loves to fetch? Sarah Benton has a little terrier named Waffle who finds old discarded balls every time they go for a walk. So she's started asking people to donate to a dog rescue group every time Waffle sniffs out a new ball.. So far, they've raised more than 3 thousand dollars.

NASHVILLE SEVENTH-HARDEST CITY TO FIND AN APARTMENT
If you're looking for an apartment in Nashville, it may take awhile. We've just been ranked seventh hardest city in the country to find an apartment. Fewer people buying, more people renting, and not enough places for them all. The good news: builders are doubling up from last year, and building nearly 5000 new apartments this year. By the way, the average price for a rental in Nashville is now about 900 dollars.

TITANS OPEN TRAINING CAMP PRACTICES TO FANS
Back to school stuff is already showing up in stores! The kids go back to school next month in many counties, but while you still have some family time the Tennessee Titans say are inviting you to bring the family to watch the team practice. They've opened several days of training practice to the public, including July 26th, 27th and 28th. The team kicks off pre-season play August 9th at LP Field against Green Bay.

STRANGERS HELP VANDY STUDENT PAY FOR COLLEGE
And speaking of school starting soon, a young lady who's going to Vanderbilt University is just overwhelmed right now with the kindness of strangers. Cassie Wessely graduated at the top of her class at her Illinois high school. She was so happy she cried when she got accepted to Vanderbilt... but then three weeks after school started, her mom died, and she now doesn't have enough money to attend. So she started a Gofundme page for some help... and people donated close to 40 thousand dollars in just three days. Cassie promises she won't forget it and promises she'll pay the kindness forward.

HOTEL VALET CRASHES GUESTS' LAMBORGHINI
So, you pull your car up to the valet stand, the little guy comes and takes your keys, gives you your receipt, and then slides in behind the wheel and IMMEDIATELY crashes your car into a wall! That just happened to a guy in India. Even worse, it was a borrowed Lamborghini, and the REPAIRS on the car will cost more than 300-thousand dollars.

FOUR CHILDREN, TWO ADULTS KILLED IN HOUSTON
A domestic dispute turned deadly in Spring, Texas, a subdivision of Houston. Six peole were killed, four of them are children. The shooter is in the car.

Robert Downey Jr. is going to be a father again. Expecting  The actor announced the news on Wednesday with a tweet reading, "Yo. Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?"  This will be Downey's second child with wife Susan, after the two welcomed son Exton back in 2012.  The 49-year-old "Iron Man" star seems excited to have a daughter on the way, posting another announcement on Facebook saying "I don't know if it's a 'man's world,' but I'm certain women run it."  Robert and Susan have been married since 2005. 
          Downey also has a 20-year-old son Indio from his first marriage, who recently made headlines after getting arrested for possession of cocaine.

FOURTH OF JULY TRAFFIC BUSIER THAN EVER
AAA predicts the upcoming Fourth of July weekend will be busier than normal on the roadways. The agency's forecast calls for the highest number of cars on the road since 2007. AAA estimates more than 34-million people will drive at least 50 miles or more next weekend.

HOLLY BOBO SUSPECT ALLOWED TO REMOVE ANKLE MONITOR 
One of the men charged in the Holly Bobo case will get to take off his GPS ankle bracelet. The judge says Jeff Pearcy hasn't been convicted of anything, so they can't just keep the monitors on him. Pearcy is accused of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact.

You know what the latest thing is that may fight cancer? Antihistamines! Researchers say antihistamines work on tumor growth and slow the cells that keep the body from fighting cancer.
