WEEKEND WEATHER
Here we go with the weather: We've already had Mix listeners call in and report that they've been getting some freezing rain. Justin Bruce with News2 says rain mixes with sleet Friday, and snow is possible overnight. Get more info at the link, above.

NASHVILLE-BASED CHEMO DUCK LAUNCHES FIRST EVER APP CREATED FOR KIDS WITH CANCER
This story is so inspiring! Nashville mother Lu Sipos has just done something amazing: she and her now-cancer-free son, have just developed the first ever game app SPECIFICALLY for kids with cancer. She says finding ways to make life easier for kids going through treatment, started when Gabe was diagnosed.
They started with the Chemo Duck, a plush toy with a chemo port, and a little bandana, given out to local kids, and now, Lu and Gabe, who's 12 have put out the app. It has games, hospital bingo and more, it's free, and on iTunes. Gabe thinks kids will love the Chemo Duck App. He says he would have loved something like that when he was going through treatment.

OVERTON COUNTY CLOSES SCHOOLS BECAUSE OF FLU
Everywhere you turn, somebody is sick! If it's not Norovirus, that stomach bug, it's the flu. So many kids and teachers have the flu or flu-like viruses in Overton County that they're clsoing schools there through Monday. That's Overton county. So far no school systems here closer to Nashville have had to do that. 

DISNEYLAND TRIES TO REASSURE PUBLIC OVER MEASLES OUTBREAK 
At Disneyland in California, where they've had a measles outbreak, Park officials say it's safe, come on in, and the health department is saying families with un-vaccinated children need to stay away. There is a measles vaccine, but some parents choose not to get it for their children. Some parents with kids who have compromised immune systems, also can not get the vaccines while they're going through treatment. (Cases also have been reported in five other states and in Mexico. )

TWO PEOPLE KILLED IN NASHVILLE CRASH, APPARENTLY BY WOMAN WITH REVOKED LICENSE
Police say it appears that a local woman driving on a revoked license has killed two men and injured at least four more people in a car crash. 29-year-old Stephanie Lynn Ferguson of Old Hickory is the 'suspected driver' of a truck that slammed into a car stopped at a light, killing the two men in that car, and hurting four people in the vehicle in FRONT of that one. Ferguson and her passenger, Ashley Morrison of Nashville, were also injured, and taken to a local hospital. The DA will determine what charges that Ferguson may face.

President Obama welcomes nearly 300 of the nation's mayors to the White House today.  He'll be talking with them about his policy priorities.

FIRE IN NEW JERSEY STARTED BY WORKER
Investigators say it was a worker's blowtorch that started a fire that destroyed a luxury apartment complex in Edgewater, New Jersey. Maintenance workers doing plumbing repairs Wednesday, who burned the whole thing down. Hundreds of people are out of their homes because of it.

SLEEP SPRAY COMING SOON
There's something new headed to the market, to help you sleep. It's melatonin, in a liquid form that you spray on your skin about an hour before bedtime. Sprayable Sleep should be out later this year and cost about 15 bucks for a month's supply.

MORE FORMALDEHYDE IN E-CIGS THAN REGULAR?
For those who are doing E-Cigarettes because they seem safe, think again. A new study finds they deliver 2-and-a-half times more cancer-causing formaldehyde than regular cigarettes. You can see the study at the link, above. It's a little formal, but you can tell what they're saying. 

NEW LIMITED EDITION SNACKS BECOMING MORE POPULAR
Snack makers have got your number. They figured out that consumers snap up novelty foods, so they're continually coming up with new combinations. The latest include a Red Velvet Oreo for Valentine's Day, there was the chocolate-covered potato chip over the holidays, and now, coming next month, Cheetos that are covered with cinnamon and sugar, instead of cheese. They're called Sweetos, instead of Cheetos.

The AMP is dead. At least for now, Mayor Karl Dean says design work on the highly controversial bus rapid transit system has stopped.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOLS REJECT STRICTER LEGGINGS POLICY
So, what do you think about girls wearing LEGGINGS as pants? They're having a bit of a controversy over it in Cumberland County schools, in Crossville. School policy is already that if you're wearing leggings, your top or skirt has to cover your rear end. But some outfits are just barely doing that. So they're now working on finding a  little stricter policy to insure a little more modesty.

NASHVILLE ZOO SETS ATTENDANCE RECORD
The Nashville Zoo has set a new attendance record. More than 834 thousand people went to the zoo this past year. Ten percent more than the year before.

After a photoshopped cover on InTouch Magazine and lots of bullying and negative comments about it, former Olympian Bruce Jenner says he's finally ready to address his changing appearance, and will do so in the upcoming 10th season of the family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

And while that show just keeps going, and going, and going, LeAnn Rimes and hubby Eddie Cibrian didn't have such luck with theirs. Their reality show has been canceled after one season.

TWO WATER MAIN BREAKS REPORTED HOURS APART IN NASHVILLE
Boy did we have the problems with water yesterday morning! Officials say everybody's water service is restored  after two separate water main breaks yesterday. One was on McGavock Pike near Elm Hill Pike in Donelson, and another one about six miles away, in Hermitage.

STOP BATHING SO OFTEN! IT'S BAD FOR YOU!
If you skipped a bath because of all that, that's okay.

WATER MAIN BREAK AFFECTS NASHVILLE
You still may wanna take some water along in the car with you today, in case you find yourself somewhere where they're still having water issues. But Metro Water department crews do seem to be getting that break in a 60-inch water main in Donelson under control, and rerouted.

GUESTS AT GAYLORD GETTING SICK… HEALTH DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING
There’s a POTENTIALLY widespread illness that’s hitting guests at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center. News 2 reporters say they’ve gotten word of guests taken to the hospital, and the health department is investigating.
(The Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center, located off Briley Parkway east of downtown Nashville, has more than 2,000 guest rooms.
