MOTEL HOLDUP
Police are searching this morning for two men, one armed, who robbed the desk clerk at the La Quinta Inn on Sidco Drive overnight. A guest who wandered through the lobby while this was going on was tied to a chair as the two men tried to open the safe. They did the same to a security guard. TN's MOST POPULAR STOLEN VEHICLES
Five of the ten most-stolen vehicles in Tennessee are trucks. A new list from the National Insurance Crime Bureau shows full-sized Chevrolet pickups on top, followed by Ford pickup trucks. NEW MIDTOWN COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION
Construction starts next week on "Buckingham Midtown," the two-acre, 17-story complex that will include retail, a hotel, and apartments. It'll cover two acres near Broadway at, 21st Avenue and Division. FIXING THE VA
Today, President Obama will announce a number of executive actions he taking to help veterans in the aftermath of the scandals at the Veteran's Administration. MURFREESBORO FLASHER
A flasher has been reported in a Murfreesboro neighborhood in the last week. Three women have told police they saw the towel wearing man showing his everything. One of the women even confronted him. Jenny Pegram said, "I looked over and it was a man and he was not dressed. He was fully exposed and holding a bottle of lotion...I said 'alright buddy I'm calling the cops'." But the suspect got away.  The man is described as being in his mid-20s.

PRIMARY WINNER
Scott DesJarlais is finally the winner of the Fourth Congressional District Republican primary after State Senator conceded yesterday. DesJarlais won by just 38 votes. DesJarlais, the incumbent who seemed doomed to lose after revelations about his personal life contradicting his family values philosophy.

METRO SCHOOLS JOB FAIR
Metro Nashville Public Schools are hiring more lunchroom ladies (and gentlemen today) to handle the increase in meals they're preparing now that schools are offering free breakfast and lunch to all students. CALIFORNIA EARTHQUAKE
No one was killed in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake that struck the Napa Valley region of California Sunday morning. Over 120 were injured. As aftershocks continue for the next several weeks, people are warned that already weakened buildings could collapse. The quake was the strongest to hit the Bay Area since 1989.

Attorney General Eric Holder says his trip to Ferguson, Missouri was "constructive," and promised the investigation into the death of a young man shot by a police officer, will be fair, thorough and independent.

FOOTBALL COACH FIRED FOR HEADBUTTING PLAYER
An assistant football coach at Lebanon High School has been fired, a day after being arrested and charged with assault... for allegedly threatening and headbutting a 15 year old player.

FERGUSON LATEST
Last night was relatively quiet in Ferguson, Missouri. Law enforcement officials say there were six arrests, but otherwise not a lot of trouble.

LOCAL: 24-PERCENT OF METRO SEVENTH GRADERS MISSING IMMUNIZATIONS 
Every year, about one in four Metro students who are supposed to have their immunizations for school, don't, and can't go to school till they do. School officials say this year was no different. 24% of those who needed shots, and the proof they'd had them, did not... and were not allowed to attend school.

THREE-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN CAR CRASH IN NASHVILLE
A car crash that killed a three-year-old is under investigation. Dolores Garcia was driving eastbound on Bull Run Road Monday afternoon near the Cheatham County line in western Davidson County, when she lost control on a curve and slammed into a utility pole. Vanessa Leon died in the crash.
