Nashville celebrates the opening Sunday of the new river-inspired Cumberland Park.  The park between the Shelby Street Pedestrian bridge and Korean Veterans Memorial bridge is the first phase in a plan to reinvent the city's riverfront.

It looks like Tennessee is getting rid of the inheritance tax and reducing taxes on groceries by quarter-of-a-percent.  The new law  will reduce your grocery tax from five-point-five- to five-and-a-quarter-percent.

North Korea's failed rocket launch is raising concerns that the communist state might conduct a nuclear test to overcome the international embarrassment.  They tried launching a missile yesterday, but it traveled only about 60 miles before exploding over the sea...

A new law has PASSED that ALLOWS teachers to participate in prayer groups and other religious activities on school grounds. The law says its OK for school personnel to participate in such activities as long as they don't carry into the classroom...

The mother of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin says her comment that the fatal shooting of her son was an accident has been "mischaracterized."  Sybrina Fulton told the Today show that her use of the word "accident" show did not mean she thought the shooting was accidental. 

What should have been a routine arrest turned into a tragedy in New Hampshire. Four police officers were shot and injured, two of them critically last night. A fifth victim, Police Chief Michael Maloney, was killed. The shooter has not yet been taken into custody.
