"The young ladies get a cut of what the check is worth."  He added, "What the victims are told, it is an easy way to make money." BALD EAGLE SHOT IN TENNESSEE
http://www.wsmv.com/story/19968583/bald-eagle-shot-in-tennessee
A poacher shot a bald eagle and left it for dead along the highway, and today, a vet in Memphis is trying to save the bird's life. If the surgery doesn't work, it'll be put down. A wildlife agent says the saddest thing is that bald eagles mate for life, so killing this one, leaves another eagle out there, without her mate, and no baby eagles later on. There's a reward for the shooter, because killing a bald eagle is a federal offense (under the Eagle Protection Act), punishable by a fine of $100,000 and a year in jail. (There's a $7,500 reward for help catching the gunman. Call the TWRA Region 1 Office at 800-372-3928 or the Tennessee Poaching Hotline at 800-831-1173.)
