The battle in the Afghan capital of Kabul is over. Officials say less than 24 hours after the Taliban launched coordinated attacks on foreign embassies, NATO headquarters and the Afghan parliament, the gunfire ended. A 911 call dialed by 10-year-old Cynthia Almendarez saved her two-year-old nephew's life. Cynthia kept her cool and translated CPR directions in Spanish to her mom. They got the baby breathing as help arrived. Cynthia earned a big recognition for her bravery that day. The Virginia 5th grader was honored with the Citizen Life Saving Award.

Ryan O'Neal is once again battling cancer. The actor has revealed to "People" magazine that he's been diagnosed with "stage four prostate cancer." O'Neal says he was "shocked and stunned" by the diagnosis, but says his doctors expect a "full recovery."
