TITANS' OWNER WANTS MANNING

Titans owner Bud Adams says he wants Peyton Manning, and he's prepared to make a competetive offer for him. Adams says Manning is from Tennessee, so he should be playing here. The 89 year-old says he's contacted Manning's agent, believes Manning could play for two or three years and could, "...come in and turn this around for us."  The Titans' General Manager, however, says the team is happy with its current quarterbacks.

DENVER SAYS IT'LL TRADE TEBOW
There are reports that if DENVER gets Manning, they'll trade quarterback Tim Tebow to someone else.

Researchers in the United Kingdom say they've found a heart disease drug with a bizarre side effect: it lowers RACISM. People who took the medication Propranolol scored lower on a psychological test of racist attitudes. Scientists say racism is largely based on fear, and Propranolol not only lowers heart rate, but also works on the part of the brain involved in fear and emotional responses.

Some Tennessee foster care parents are getting twice the money they're supposed to while others aren't getting paid at all. Glitches in the Department of Children's Services new computer system have caused over two-and-a-half-million in duplicate or missed payments...though the 37-million-dollar software system was supposed to improve efficiency and better track services.

36 year old Jacqueline Taylor, a former Antioch church youth minister, is facing sex abuse charges involving a 17 year old boy who went to her church. She allegedly picked him up and parked with him outside empty houses, where the abuse happened. The 17 year-old told his parents, who filed charges.

Research on diabetes has come up with something interesting... if you lift weights BEFORE doing cardio, it helps prevent a big drop in your blood sugar after you exercise. An entire Texas CHURCH has gone on a diet, and they're doing it by trying to eat like a pig. One of the members had a pot bellied pig that got TOO fat and had to lose weight... lost 100 pounds. Members of the St. Nicholas Episcopal Church said, "If a PIG can do it, so can we!" They're asking other churches to do the same.

There was a scare aboard an American Airlines flight at Dallas, Fort Worth, when a female flight attendant went on a tirade about crashing over the p.a. system. She was subdued by passengers, the plane taxied back to the gate, and the woman was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The 2012 NCAA men's basketball tournament field is set, all 68 teams' worth. The four regional number-one seeds are Kentucky, Syracuse, North Carolina and Michigan State. The tournament starts tomorrow, the final four will be March 31st.

John Mayer is canceling his upcoming U.S. tour and will take an indefinite hiatus from live performing. The Grammy winner, who was diagnosed with a granuloma on his vocal cord last fall, writes on his blog that he found out on Wednesday that the granuloma "had grown back." He writes, "This is bad news." Mayer went on to explain the condition, writing a "granuloma forms and continues to snowball because it's in a spot where the vocal cords hit together and there's no way to really give it a chance to heal without a good stretch of time and some pretty intensive treatment." Mayer, 34, blogs that he knows he'll face "another surgery and a very long chemically-imposed period of silence, so I hope you'll understand that I have to really pick that date carefully."

TACO BELL MARKS 50TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW ENTREE
Food critics might gnash their teeth, but customers seem to love the new "Doritos Locos Tacos" at Taco Bell. The new entree is just what it sounds like: ground beef, lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese with a sour cream topping inside a hard shell that's essentially a tortilla-sized Doritos chip. The taco is served inside a paper sleeve, giving diners a 50-50 chance of not getting orange powder all over their fingers. Taco Bell prepared 50-million Doritos taco shells ahead of Thursday's rollout. Based in Irvine, California, Taco Bell has 35-hundred restaurants nationwide. Coming this summer: Cool Ranch tacos.

NASHVILLE RESIDENTS PROTEST CENTRAL PARKING
West Linden Street residents today are leaving their cars parked in protest. The parking protest is over curbside parking by employees at the corporate headquarters of Central Parking Systems. Residents say the business takes up curbside parking and sometimes blocks driveways and trash cans.

SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST
The 2012 edition of South by Southwest is officially underway in Austin, Texas. The interactive and film portions of the event got going Friday with the music festival set to start tomorrow. This year's fest runs through the 18th, and includes performances from Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, Train, Fiona Apple and many, many more. Fans can find the full schedule at SXSW.com.

WOMAN DIES AFTER SUFFOCATING IN DONATION BOX
A New York City woman who tried to crawl into a donation box to steal the clothes inside died for her efforts. 51-year-old Melissa Mazzeo crawled into the big metal box on Staten Island around noon on Saturday, and got caught in the door of the box when she tried to climb back out. She was found with her head sticking out of the box, her body inside.

TAYLOR SWIFT NAMED TOP MUSICAL MONEY MAKER IN 2011

Taylor Swift has become the biggest wage-earner among people in the music business. "Billboard" magazine says the 22-year-old singer earned over 35-million dollars last year.
