TORNADOES THIS WEEKEND
The mayor of a central Arkansas town slammed by a tornado late Sunday is describing the aftermath as "chaos." Vilonia, Arkansas' downtown was basically leveled, with some homes reduced to piles of brick. The death toll in Arkansas alone stands at 16. There were also deaths reported in Oklahoma and Iowa.

We have thunderstorms in our forecast through the day, that can produce hail, flooding, even tornadoes. The MOST severe storms are expected to hit Middle Tennessee late this afternoon and tonight.
GETTING READY FOR EMERGENCIES/SURVIVING A TORNADO
Officials with Emergency management say this morning would be a good time to review your disaster plan with the family. Make sure everybody knows how to check in if you get separated... maybe Facebook, or a relative in another state. Check your emergency stash, and make sure all family members know where the tornado shelter place is in the house, and that it's cleaned OUT so they can get in there.
POLICE TASER MAN IN FRANKLIN STARBUCKS PARKING LOT
Franklin police tasered a man in the parking lot of a Starbucks Monday morning. A witness says he saw the guy lying in the grass on Cool Springs Boulevard just after 4:30 a.m. and called police. Officers say when they woke the man he started wrestling with them, and they used a taser. While responding to the incident, officers found a woman slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle. Police questioned her involvement with the previous incident and she claimed not to know the man. The woman was given a field sobriety test, handcuffed, and taken from the scene.
L-A CLIPPERS OFFENDED BY THEIR TEAM OWNER'S COMMENTS
The Los Angeles Clippers are letting people know they're offended by the alleged racist remarks by the team's owner Donald Sterling. Before Sunday's playoff game against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, the Clippers wore their shirts inside out, showing no team logo.
U.S. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION RATE HIGHEST IN HISTORY
America's high school seniors and their teachers get a pat on the back. For the first time in U.S. history, the nation's high school graduation rate is above 80 percent, putting us on track to meet the national goal of a 90 percent graduation rate by 2020.
FORMER PRESIDENT CLINTON VISITS NASHVILLE TODAY
Former President Bill Clinton will be in Nashville today to talk to the first-ever graduating class at LEAD Academy. All 44 seniors have graduated and have been accepted to colleges. Clinton will be the keynote speaker at "Senior Signing Day," where the graduates reveal their college plans.

NASHVILLE SOCCER MATCH LEADS TO SHOOTING
We've had more adults behaving badly here in the Nashville area... at something that was supposed to be FUN. An adult league was playing soccer yesterday at E.S. Rose park when somebody got angry, and shot another person in the shoulder.
COAST GUARD SEARCHING FOR A MAN MISSING FROM CRUISE SHIP
The Coast Guard is searching for a man who either jumped or fell overboard from a cruise ship sailing from the Bahamas to Palm Beach, Florida. James Miller was reported missing from the Bahamas Celebration Sunday morning.
Entertainment Tonight" is reporting that George Clooney and British attorney Amal Alamuddin, who've been seen together the past six months, are engaged. The 52 year old actor once said in an interview he would NEVER get married again, because he didn't do it very well. Apparently LOVE changed his mind.
MAN DROWNS IN OLD HICKORY LAKE
A 34 year old Springfield Tennessee man died this weekend. He was leaving Creekwood Marina early Sunday with friends when he fell into the water, and drowned.
NORTH CAROLINA MAN HIT BY PLANE WHILE RIDING LAWN MOWER
A North Carolina man is in critical condition today after being hit by a plane as he was riding his lawn mower.
The 74 year old was cutting the grass at North Carolina's Taylorsville Airport when 84 year old Edward Sisson, who was flying in from Crossville, tried to touch down on a grassy landing strip, and instead hit the guy on the mower. The airport is privately owned and does not have a an air traffic control operator. The incident is under investigation.
MARATHON WEATHER PERFECT,
There may be some sore people at your office today. A lot of local folks took part in the Marathon and half marathon on Saturday. Tens of THOUSANDS showed up on a perfect day to run, to roll in the wheelchair events, and to cheer on those taking part.
NEW JERSEY COUPLE GIVES $1,000 TIP
Here's a random act of kindness to start your day right. New Jersey bartender Christina Summitt says two of her customers came in, ordered drinks and wings, and then left her a thousand dollar tip! They'd started talking as she waited on them, and she told them she was about to sell her car to pay for surgery for her dog. Instead, the couple put the tip on their tab. She ran out to catch them, to make sure it wasn't a mistake. They said, "Nope. We just like to do things like this." She says she cried for two days afterwards.
METRO SIDEWALKS TO BE INSTALLED, REPLACED
Metro is about to put in and replace about 14-thousand feet of sidewalk this summer in both residential and commercial areas. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency says sidewalks are crucial to a healthy community because they improve accessibility to services and are a sign of tangible redevelopment.
Sunday's NBA playoff action included the L.A. Clippers taking a stand against team owner Donald Sterling's allegedly racial comments revealed by TMZ.com. His team lost to the Warriors, 118-97, to see that series get tied up at two. The Wizards took a commanding 3-1 lead against the Bulls with a 98-89 win.
