SUPERMOON STILL VISIBLE OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MORNINGS
For the next couple of mornings, if you're up early, you can still see the supermoon. It officially hit full over the weekend, with the moon and the earth close together, making the moon look huge!

CLINT AND CJ: #BRINGINGHOMEISABELLA UPDATE ON FB
We have an update from China, as our co-host Clint Redwine and his wife, author CJ Redwine, pick up their second daughter, Isabella! The latest: Clint posted, "We have Isabella!  Sorry it's been a while since I updated. It's been a crazy two days of travel and spending time with Isabella..." He says the internet there has been sketchy, but he's got some photos up, and we're sharing on the mix facebook page. 

TWO TEENS ARRESTED FOR STEALING GUNS, VEHICLES IN NASHVILLE 
Here locally, a couple of teenagers were caught stockpiling weapons and stolen cars, that they said they were planning to use in future armed robbers. Jonathon Steele and Khalil Brown were caught yesterday when the alarm went off at the Nashville Armory. They had guns and ammo in one of three cars they admitted they'd stolen the night before. 

ST. LOUIS RIOT
Shop owners in a suburb of St. Louis are cleaning up and getting things back in order, after a police officer shot and killed an 18 year old man on Saturday, and a vigil yesterday turned into rioting and looting near the St. Louis Airport.

MICHAEL PHELPS MAY BE ON WAY TO MORE OLYMPIC GOLD
Michael Phelps could be on his way to more Olympic gold.  The 18-time Olympic gold medalist was named Sunday to swim for the U.S. in the Pan Pacific Championships later this month.  

ROLLER COASTER STRANDS PEOPLE FOR FIVE HOURS IN MARYLAND
Nobody was hurt, everybody was freaked out, when two dozen people got stuck on a rollercoaster at Six Flags in Maryland. They were there about five hours yesterday... long enough that they had to be given water, umbrellas and sunscreen. 

GAS PRICES STILL FALLING
Gas prices are still falling. They've gone down for forty days in a row, here in the Southeast, which means we're 24 cents a gallong lower now than a month ago.

MAN HIT PEDESTRIAN, HAS SON IN CAR
Kenneth Will is facing several charges, including vehicular assault, for hitting a pedestrian on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard early Sunday morning. Police say the man was retrieving a tire from the middle of the road, and that Kenneth Will had his 12-year-old son with him, he was speeding and weaving through traffic when he hit the pedestrian. And, police believe alcohol was also involved.

PERSON WRITES APOLOGY TO KFC FOR TAKING CHICKEN HOME FROM BUFFET
When you go through the all you can eate buffet, you're not supposed to take more than you can eat. It's wasteful. And you're certainly not supposed to stick the food into your pocket or purse to go. Well, someone did that recently, then had a case of remorse, and sent KFC an apology note, and two dollars to pay for the food he took home. The KFC owner says it made his day, and he'd love to know who's so honest. He'd buy them a few meals, himeself.

TEEN'S CHOICE AWARDS
Shailene Woodley, Ariana Grande, and the cast of "Pretty Little Liars" are just a few of the stars who picked up trophies Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards.  Woodley won for both "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Divergent," and she gave her fans one of her patented, positive speeches.

CHARGES UNLIKELY AGAINST NASCAR DRIVER
Many NASCAR fans are upset, grieving and angry over a horriffic accident this weekend. 20-year-old driver Kevin Ward had crashed his car on a dirt track, and had gotten out of his car, when driver Tony Stewart hit and killed him.

TITANS WIN PRESEASON OPENER
Maybe you won't have to try and pawn off your Titan's Tickets this year. The team has won its pre-season opener against Green Bay. YAY!!! Their next preseason game is Friday in New Orleans.

SOUTH NASHVILLE BACK IN LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES
And let's hear it for South Nashville Little Leaguers!! They're headed to the World Series again. Competition kicks off on Thursday with 16 teams from around the world. South Nashville plays on Friday.

DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON'S MOTHER AND COUSIN HIT BY DRUNK DRIVER
Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson's mom and cousin have been hurt in a very serious car crash. They were reportedly hit head-on by a drunk driver this weekend. Johnson says his first reaction was, "to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them." He said then you realize, "the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days." He added hashtags: #BearHugsAndGratitude, #100PercentPreventable and #ChoicesMatter.

CHER WONDERS HOW SHE GOT SO OLD IN INTERVIEW WITH AARP
Singer Cher says she can't BELIEVE she's gotten so old! She said in a recent interview, I look in the mirror and wonder, "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?" She made the comment in an interview with AARP magazine. Cher is 68, but says she has no plans to stop touring or singing. Cher says, "This is the first generation that's said, 'We're not going to roll over and play dead because we're a certain age.' 

LADY GAGA RELEASEING NEW PERFUME CALLED EAU DE GAGA
Lady Gaga has a second perfume coming out. It's called Eau de Gaga, it's unisex, and smells like sparkling water, lime, and leather. It's expected to hit stores around the same time her new jazz album with Tony Bennett comes out at the end of September.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES TOP BOX OFFICE
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" tops the weekend box office list.  It raked in 65-million dollars in its opening weekend to bump last weekend's leader "Guardians of the Galaxy" out of the top spot.
