First Lady Michelle Obama will visit Nashville this month to raise money for her husband’s re-election campaign. The First Lady will attend a fund-raising luncheon at 11 a.m. on April 17 at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place, with tickets starting at $500.

The Nashville Zoo is preparing to host family movie nights later this month. Beginning April 20, the zoo will kick off "Zoovies," -- During the event, guests can take a ride on the Wild Animal Carousel, enjoy inflatables and games, bounce around the Jungle Gym and explore the DinoTrek exhibit. Admission to Zoovies will be $5 or free with a zoo ticket or membership.

A measure to legalize medical marijuana in Tennessee has likely gone up in smoke in the state Senate. A committee voted 5-4 to send the proposal to another committee but THAT committee is closed for the year, and not likely to reopen. Medical marijuana IS legal in 16 other states...

The mayors of Arlington and Lancaster, Texas are declaring states of disaster in their towns due to Tuesday’s tornado outbreak. The Weather Service says just over a dozen twisters touched down in the Dallas area yet miracuously, mostly minor injuries and NO deaths occurred 

Contrary to earlier reports there WERE drugs found in the Beverly Hills hotel room where Whitney Houston died.  The full autopsy report released yesterday says a "spoon with a white crystal-like substance on it" and a "white powdery substance" later determined to be cocaine were found in the room.

The Tennessee Titans have announced their PRE season schedule. They’ll play their first two preseason games on the road against Seattle and Tampa Bay before closing with games at LP Field against the Cardinals and Saints. Tickets will go on sale this summer for the August games..

The beef product dubbed “pink slime,” is soon going to be LISTED on LABELS of beef if its contained in it.  The government has agreed to allow this so you soon could know whether the ground beef you buy has the the ammonia-treated product that has shuttered plants, ended jobs and sparked uproar over the contents of the nation’s hamburgers. A new "Finding Your Roots" episode unveils a surprising tie between longtime Hollywood couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.  This Sunday's edition of the PBS series on genealogy reveals that the couple, who have been married for 23 years, are actually distant cousins. 

You hear a lot of how PIT BULLS attack innocent people, but in New York, one Pit Bull saved his owners life from a ROBBER. A man posing as a delivery guy pulled a gun on a couple in their apartment, when KILO the Pit Bull ATTACKED. Kilo took a bullet, but survived and fended off the attacker.
