If you’re going to the gym or the rec center, don’t leave your purse in the car. That's the warning from the Franklin and Brentwood police departments, which have seen a rash of smash-and-grab vehicle break-ins in Williamson County, happening especially at gyms.

A father who was riding his bike with his family last night was struck by a vehicle and killed in a tragic accident. It happened in Coffee County. Police told News 2 the driver may have found it hard to see because of the sun.

George Zimmerman is being charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. His new attorney, Mark O'Mara, says Zimmerman will enter a not guilty plea.

A Clarksville pet store went up in flames Tuesday with hundreds of caged animals trapped inside and investigators believe it was no accident. The D & R pet store was heavily damaged and most of the animals trapped inside were lost.

Sgt. Felipe Pereira is a Fort Campbell who saved the lives of 2 fellow soldiers during an attack in Afghanistan while wounded will be presented with the distinguished service cross today.  The Sergeant’s unit was attacked in Kandahar province, but he refused medical treatment and helped to evacuate two other wounded soldiers.
