BBB WARNS OF SCAM E-MAIL PHONE BILLS/CONFIRMATIONS
The Better Business Bureau is warning you about scam e-mails that appear to come from Verizon Wireless or AT&T, but instead have links that'll unleash viruses if you click them. The BBB says just opening an e-mail with malware won't UNLEASH it, but clicking the links inside WILL. They advise you to NEVER click a link in an e-mail you weren't expecting.
TO TELL IF IT'S FAKE: The answer is in learning how to look at links and recognize strange looking destinations, which often end in .php, .exe, .zip or some executable file that will trigger an action caused by your click.
