SANTA GOING ONLINE
Shopping center statistics show that Santa's lap isn't the Christmas tradition it once was. Santa visits have dropped 41% in the past ten years. Remember taking the kids to sit on Santa's lap for a photo? It's because more people are looking for Santa, online. Santa last year was the 6th most popular search in December.

SAFETY WARNING FOR WOMEN: THIEVES LOOKING TO STRIKE!
It's fun to go shopping and get out and enjoy the season this time of year. But, police say crooks are also out in full force waiting for you to be distracted so they can steal from you. A shopper at Walmart on Mallory Lane had her wallet stolen, because she left her purse in her shopping cart and stepped away. In Smyrna a woman's credit cards were stolen from her purse while she was at lunch, and the thieves charged more than 3000 dollars on the woman's cards before they were stopped.
And a Mix 92-9 listener called us this morning, she was in tears, as seh told us she was just robbed yesterday. She asked me to also remind you to keep your purse in a safe place if you work in an office where people come in from outside. She works in the reception area of her business, and someone came in and stole her purse. She spent three hours last night trying to cancel credit cards and get a new driver license. She shared her misfortune with us, hoping it'll help keep the rest of us from having to go through that.

MORE BABIES BORN ADDICTED TO DRUGS
The number of babies born addicted to drugs, including painkillers... is skyrocketing. In Tennessee, it's up TEN TIMES as much as a decade ago. Babies born addicted go through all the painful symptoms of withdrawal, including seizures and tremors. Until now, hospitals had not been required by the state health department to report it when babies were born addicted (which is called neonatal abstinence syndrome). Starting January 1st, they'll have to report it. Health officials also want a black box warning on prescription meds to alert physicians to the harm painkillers can cause an unborn child.
