WALMART TO START BLACK FRIDAY SALES 8PM THANKSGIVING
The holiday shopping season is starting earlier and earlier! Some Nashville area stores and malls have said they'll be open at midnight on Thanksgiving so shoppers can start Black Friday shopping early. Now Walmart, the world's biggest retailer, says it'll start Black Friday sales even earlier -- at 8:00 Thanksgiving night. That means the lines across the parking lot will start right after the Thanksgiving meal.

RECORD SNOWSTORM SLAMS NORTHEAST
The Nor'easter that slammed into the Northeast United States yesterday set some records for snowfall. Clintonville, Connecticut got more than 13 inches, and places all over the northeast, including those that are still struggling to recover from Hurricane Sandy, and many thousands who are still without power, also got record snow.
STORM HITS THE NORTHEAST
Mother Nature is slamming the northeast part of the country today... our friends and family there hadn't recovered from Hurricane Sandy and now another powerful nor'easter is dumping snow on them. Many are still without electricity and still having a hard time getting gas to run their generators.
DAMAGED CARS HEADED TO SCRAP PILE
Hurricane Sandy damaged thousands of brand-new vehicles that are now headed to the scrap heap. Automakers Chrysler, Honda, Nissan and Toyota plan to scrap roughly 15-thousand new vehicles that have now been deemed "unsaleable" because of the storm.

Singer Lady Gaga has donated $1 million to Hurricane Sandy relief in New York. She said, "Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild ...”
BOB BARKER DONATES TO WILDLIFE RESCUE
And did you hear what Bob Barker just did? You know how he loves animals, right? Well, a Wildlife Rescue group asked the former "Price is Right" host for a 5,000 dollar donation to buy a ventilator for rescued birds, and Barker said no. He told the group he would rather give them 250-THOUSAND dollars! The rescue group is thrilled.
SCHOOL BUS CRASH SENDS STUDENTS TO HOSPITAL
You may have seen what looked like a horriffic school bus accident yesterday afternoon in Nashville, but it turned out to be not as bad as it looked. A bus carrying Spectrum Academy students crashed into a tractor trailer yesterday afternoon on I-40 near Fessler's Lane. To be on the safe side, every student was taken to the hospital to be checked out, but only two students and the bus driver have minor injuries. Spectrum Academy serves students with disabilities or who are referred by metro schools for extra help with social and life skills counseling, employment and career development and behavioral support services.
MAN TAKES PREGNANCY TEST, IT COMES BACK POSITIVE, FOR CANCER
A man who took a pregnancy test as a joke, got the surprise of his life when it came back positive. THEN, because his friend had posted something about it online, people wrote back urging him to get tested for cancer immediately! Pregnancy tests work by measuring the levels of a hormone, which is produced during pregnancy, and ALSO by many testicular cancers. The guy’s cancer test also came back positive, but he caught it early, so it’s treatable.

A Tennessee State University football player who collapsed at practice on Wednesday has died. 19-year-old William Wayne Jones the Third just suddenly passed out and became unresponsive.
LOCAL WOMAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN HIT-AND-RUN
A local woman is in a medically-induced coma after a hit-and-run accident at a Jefferson Street intersection near the Buena Vista neighborhood. She was walking down 10th Avenue North when she was hit by a pickup, which then left the scene. Police say she smelled of alcohol and intoxication may have played a role in the accident.
NASHVILLE PRINCIPAL USES MARTIAL ARTS ON STUDENT
The principal at Churchwell Elementary Magnet School may be in trouble for kind of a surprising reason: using martial arts moves on one of the kids. The principal was seen using pressure point techniques under the arm of a child to cause pain. He's being investigated.
LIPSCOMB ACADEMY STUDENT EARNS PERFECT SAT SCORE
It doesn't happen often, but it happens: a high school senior gets a perfect score on his or her SATs. The latest to achieve that is a Lipscomb Academy student, Senior Han Na [[ Hannah ]] Kim. She says it took her two tries but she got a perfect score of 24-hundred. The 18-year-old says her next challenge will be deciding where to go to college.
MODERN FAMILY ACTRESS REMOVED FROM HER HOME
"Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter, the 14 year old who plays the youngest daughter on the show, apparently has real-life family problems. Winter has been removed from her home over allegations that her mom is abusing her.

ORIGINAL STAR WARS STARS WANT TO BE IN NEXT MOVIE
Now that there's word future Star Wars movies are coming out, the stars from the original movie say they want to be on-board.
Harrison Ford, who is now 70, says he's ready to reprise his role as Han Solo, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher have also said they'd be open to doing at least one more "Star Wars" movie.
Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker, is now 60, and Carrie Fisher, who acted as Princess Leia, is now 56.
NEW GERBER BABY
There's a new Gerber baby whose face will soon be on the jars of food: 8-month-old Mary Jane Montoya from California. The Hispanic baby beat out 300,000 other babies on Facebook to become the new face of the brand in 2013. She will be featured in a nationwide Gerber ad. Her parents, Billy and Sara Montoya, say they entered her at the last minute. The proud parents won $50,000 for her college fund. The former Gerber Baby is still living. She's 85-year-old Ann Turner Cook.
