CMA KICK-OFF PARADE
Welcome to Nashville! Last year more than 65 thousand people spent 30 MILLION dollars here during the CMA Music Festival. It kicks off today with a parade at 11-- going down Broadway from 10th Avenue to 1st Avenue -- and then a Block Party at Riverfront Park. Glen Campbell is the Parade Grand Marshal. BONNAROO GATES OPEN TODAY (DAY EARLIER THAN USUAL)
And Bonnaroo starts tomorrow (Thursday). Organizers expect more than 80,000 people to attend, and they're letting them in the gates tonight, instead of making them wait till Thursday. Police, TDOT and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are all working extra officers and extra shifts to make things go smoothly. TDOT will also have its help trucks out on I-24 to keep traffic problems from becoming traffic jams. See the Bonnaroo routes and detours HERE

NASHVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PREPS FOR BUSIEST DAY: MONDAY AFTER CMA FEST
Forget Thanksgiving or Christmas. Nashville International Airport is already prepping for its busiest travel day of the year: The Monday after CMA Fest and Bonnaroo, passenger traffic at BNA will be nearly 50 percent more than what it is on a normal day.
MAN KILLS TWO SEX OFFENDERS
A Washington state man went on a killing spree this weekend murdering two SEX offenders, one of whom had been convicted of raping a child. When police arrested him, Patrick Drum said if he hadn't been caught, he'd have taken out another one.

Metro police arrested a convicted child sex offender HERE this week, after SEEING him, trying to lure two young girls into his home in Madison, Tennessee.
OHIO RUNNER STOPS TO AID FALLEN OPPONENT
This is SUCH a cool story. On Saturday, high school junior Meghan Vogel won a state title in track. But what she treasures more is that she stopped running the 3,200-meter final to help a competitor who had collapsed just 20 feet from the finish line. As Meghan helped the other girl cross the finish line, the crowd went WILD! Meghan says it was a lot more satisfying than winning the state championship. You can see the VIDEO HERE .
SHERYL CROW HAS BENIGN BRAIN TUMOR
Sheryl Crow says she had so many memory lapses, that she got worried something was wrong, and went to the doctor. Turns out something was. She has a brain tumor. The 50 year old says it's benign and nothing to be alarmed about. Crow beat breast cancer back in 2006. She's currently on a nationwide tour.
PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE APPROVED ON SECOND READING
The Mayor's proposed 53-cent property tax increase is moving forward. After several hours of public input, Metro City Council members approved the proposal on SECOND reading last night. It'll need a third and final vote to pass. The increase is part of the Mayor's one-point-71 billion dollar budget proposal.
SANDUSKY CHILD MOLESTATION TRIAL JURORS BEING SELECTED
More than half the jurors have been seated in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case in Pennsylvania. The former Penn State assistant football coach is facing dozens of counts of sexually abusing ten boys. The first day of jury selection in exposed love letters the former Penn State assistant football coach allegedly sent to one his alleged victims.
IS FACEBOOK GOING AWAY?
An analyst says Facebook will basically go away by the year 2020. He says Facebook's power will erode as more people use the Mobile Web and mobile apps, instead of the webpage.
WHITE AMERICANS' HEADS ARE GETTING BIGGER
This is kind of bizarre: YOUR head is probably larger than your ancestors'. In the past century the size of white Americans' HEADS have, literally, gotten bigger. Researchers at the University of Tennessee's Forensic Anthropology Center (sometimes called "the body farm" ), say we're less active so more nourishment can go to our brains, and because of C-sections, more big-headed babies make it into the world.

MOTHER PUTS SAFETY OF GAS CAN ABOVE SAFETY OF TODDLER
A Colorado mother is getting a HUGE backlash after she was caught recently driving with her children in the car, with a gas can strapped into the child safety seat instead of the toddler. The baby and another child weren't fastened in at all. A cop took a picture and it ended up on the Colorado Transportation Department's safety campaign website.
JANET JACKSON HOSTS NEW DOCUMENTARY
Janet Jackson has signed on to host a new documentary called "Truth" which will focus on the lives of transgender people living around the world. She says she hopes it'll help end discrimination of the transgender community.
